FML – Smoke /heated gases do not Roll up-hill, it goes up vertically, it does not move horizontally and roll upwards, so your Exhaust being higher is meaningless. The exhaust needs to be directly above, hence Chimneys being vertical. With All those Bricks make a smaller more efficient chamber, no need for a massive fire especially with those sparks, it looks good but is unnessescary and means you burn more fuel.

Smoke is caused by the materials not burning efficiently. Use dry, dead materials and get the fire hot to reduce smoke. The tunnels help oxidate the fire not reduce smoke.

A Dakota fire pit may be the solution in a Tipi.

The fire produces a great deal of vacuum which is why both ports pull air in. The one thing I'd consider is rain. There ought to be some sort of french drain at each tube entrance to avoid the air tubes from easily becoming filled during a storm. In addition, I'd recommend you keep a rock by each so one (or both) can be closed off if needed.

OF COURSE! Who doesn't carry at least 10 ceramic roof tiles in their bug out bag? Love you, Lilly, but unless I'm planning to live in this tent long term…not really a great plan. Keep making videos, though. Love some of your ideas.

I can see the logic! but alas there was a lot of organic material in the soil. Trying this could end up in a fire that is uncontrollable as it under the earth! Please don't try this!

Given that you have bricks and slates, you might as well build a house, or even better buy yourself a gas heater!

An open fire in a tepee works best with round wood not split.. less sparks and lasts longer.
